Time to dust off all the bad cow puns (and some beer too, as you’ll see), with another cow spotted (see, Spotted Cow is Wisconsin’s favorite craft beer) on US 131, somewhere between Dorr and and the Gun Lake Casino, with authorities and animal control officials seen along the highway. Judging from a video posted on Facebook, it appears the cow was safely apprehended and no one was injured.
This isn’t the first time a rogue cow has been reported on this stretch of highway, with one incident in 2019 and a year earlier in 2018. Both of those cases also resulted in no injuries and the animal captured . However, this begs the question, how does this happen and how does it happen so often?
As always, the puns aren’t the entertaining part of the story. These are the comments on Facebook, although some are clearly inappropriate. The nicest was “Hey, sir, are you walking your cows?”
In the inappropriate category, the worst came from the poster which said “another ex-wife sighting”; clearly not an amicable split. And another poster feigned outrage, eventually saying the comment almost made him cough up his tea.
Another comment it’s hard to tell if this is said in jest or not but answering the question if anyone saw a cow on the loose in 131 said no but saw a white van go in the wrong direction on the highway.
But eventually someone said there was nothing really funny about it, “but I can’t stop laughing”.
