ITRI’s VLSI-TSA and VLSI-DAT Symposia to start in April 2022

The VLSI-TSA and VLSI-DAT Symposia were first organized in 1983, hosting leading conferences in semiconductor-related fields and attracting up to 1,000 participants each year. At the 2022 event, six esteemed experts will deliver keynote addresses. Dr. Babak Sabi, Sr. The vice president and general manager of assembly and test technology development at Intel Corporation will describe the current technology envelopes and future directions for scaling for representative advanced packaging architectures. Mr. Toru Matsuoka, Deputy General Manager of Business Planning Project Group, Power Device Works at Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, will discuss the latest SiC technology and show some application examples. Dr. Jeff burns, Director of IBM Research AI Hardware Center, will share his perspective on the challenges and opportunities in AI hardware design. Teacher. Boris Murmann of Stanford University demonstrate examples of small-scale data analysis and machine learning inference systems that operate near the physical interface. Dr K. Laurent Loh, Sr. MediaTek’s vice president will highlight the technological challenges of the integrated circuit industry for the next decade. Dr LC Lu, Vice President of Research and Development / Design and Technology Platform at TSMC, will review recent market trends and focus on progress in scaling up processes for libraries, memories, and external interfaces, spanning several Design and Technology Co-Optimizations (DTCOs) techniques that enable higher transistor density and performance.

The VLSI-TSA and VLSI-DAT 2022 symposia are planned as hybrid events, integrating an in-person conference and virtual platform with live sessions and video-on-demand presentations. In-person seminars will take place on April 18-21, 2022 at the Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu, Taiwan. Following the physical event, there will be virtual colloquia offering online access to on-demand video presentations from April 25 to May 24, 2022. More than 150 exceptional papers will be presented during the conferences.

Online registration will be open from January 1, 2022. Take advantage of the early bird discount until March 18, 2022, and students are entitled to a reduction of up to 65% on their registration fees. Registration link:
