Here’s why you’re buying the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro

If you read our reviews, you can expect that Pixel 7 (exam) and Pixel 7 Pro (exam) to win boys honors here at Droid Life when the end of the year approaches. With it’s now officially holiday shopping season and holiday deals in full effect, we want to give you a quick rundown of why Google’s latest phones are worth checking out if you are still on the fence this late in the year. .

Here are five reasons why the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are worth buying.

1. Material is fire (🔥)

While the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro looked great, there’s something about the Pixel 7 lineup that oozes that sensuality and polished aesthetic. Google just knocked it out of the park on these two phones. There’s no bad color option in the range either. From the Pixel 7 Pro’s Hazel to the Pixel 7’s Lemongrass, they all look solid. In hand, people should also appreciate the subtlety of the Pixel 7 Pro’s curved glass, while the smaller Pixel 7 has a flat screen instead. They both feel fantastic and are great phones from every angle.

2. Software is butter (🧈)

Android 13, which both of these devices ship with, is awesome. There haven’t been many huge, major, or insane additions to the Android operating system in general over the past few years, but overall it’s gotten smoother, faster, and just plain better. On Pixel 7 phones, it works exceptionally well, with all sorts of nice customization touches and animations. It’s a very neat software experience.

3. The cameras are blocked (🐐)

We’ve talked a lot about this camera, whether in stand-alone posts or in our general journals. The cameras are sick. In the Pixel 7 lineup, Google introduced a cinematic mode for video shooting, improved night vision, Real Tone processing, as well as improvements to autofocus and video stabilization. Last year’s Pixel 6 lineup was already excellent in this department, but in 2022 Google has reaffirmed that they’re the company to beat in the camera game.

4. Pixel Perfect Watch Partner (⌚)

We’re fans of the Pixel Watch and not ashamed to admit it. Looking for the perfect phone to complement Google’s first Pixel-branded watch? It would be the Pixel 7, of course. Technically, any Android would be a good match, but the setup process on the Pixel 7 is nice and smooth, and from a looks perspective, the devices complement each other very well. The picture above?
