Fixed blade knife WESN Bornas

Since its creation in 2016, WESN has quickly become one of the most top boutique knife brands on the planet, with a slowly but steadily growing range of heirloom quality knives and EDC accessories that are truly built to last a lifetime. And after a long period of development, the cutler Detriot unveils its very first fixed blade model with the brand new WESN Bornas.

Spanning 5.90 inches in total, the Bornas is a compact, modern version of a traditional knife with fixed blade which showcases the WESN brand of contemporary Scandinavian design, premium materials and top-notch craftsmanship. Translating from Swedish as “children”, the Bornas features a full tang CPM S35VN steel construction that is finished in a 2.60 inch drop point blade. Jumping along the base of the spine of the blade also helps provide a solid grip even in wet conditions.

Mated to the blade via stainless steel hardware, the Bornas is also adorned with the buyer’s choice of black G-10 scales or genuine rosewood handles. A lanyard loop at the base of the knife adds a dose of style while bringing additional functionality to the table. Branding on the Bornas has also been kept to a minimum, with a single WESN logo decorating the blade. Additionally, not only is Bornas WESN’s first-ever fixed-blade model, but the knife also represents the Detroit-based brand’s first knife made in Sweden – a nod to the WESN founder’s Swedish ancestry.
