Farsound launches creative campaign for Farnborough show

MRO engine parts supplier Farsound Aviation is making a splash at the Farnborough International Airshow this week with its toilet-based advertising campaign. Displayed inside the show’s comfort facilities, the campaign includes a trio of posters depicting a human heart, lungs or brain, assembled from engine parts and hardware, with the slogan “Your Problem – Our solution”, highlighting Farsound’s individualized approach to serving customers.

“It seemed like a good idea,” said Simon Mariner, business development manager for UK-based Romford, of the ad placement locations.

Arthur London Agency created the campaign, and while it’s not new, it makes its Farnborough debut. Farsound has exhibited at previous editions of the show.

Farsound supplies aftermarket Class C hardware and consumables for Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, GE and other engines. The rebound in the MRO sector has lagged behind OEM markets, Mariner said. “And now the supply chain is the real big issue: raw materials, Ukrainian issues, exotic metals, delivery times are exploding. Stock is getting harder and harder to come by,” he explained.

But Farsound sees market resilience in the return of the biennial meeting. “We are happy to have Farnborough back,” Mariner said as he watched the opening day crowd. “It’s hot, but the weather doesn’t put anyone off. It is occupied.”
